Gods plan &Gods timing

Sometimes it is SO hard to understand Gods plan and timing for us. That’s what faith is all about. Lately, I have reminded myself “Gods plan is better than my own” about 20 times a day & it is ok to do that!  The Bible tells us this…

  • “We can make our own plans, but the LORD gives the right answer.” Proverbs 16:1
  • “We can make our plans, but the LORD determines our steps.” Proverbs 16:9
  • “You can make many plans, but the LORDS purpose will prevail.” Provers 19:21

I know I have a very hard time with this subject because I’m such a planner. I have a planner and write a daily to-do list. I also write goals for myself and so on. As a Christian, our LORD is our planner. He knows allllllll your goals, your plans, your high times and also your low times.(The righteous person faces many troubles, but the Lord comes to the rescue each time.” Psalms 34:19) He knows the exact date of when you’re getting married even if you don’t have a boyfriend! He knows it all! All you have to do is trust him AT ALL TIMES! His plan is greater than your plan.

Sometimes its harder to understand his plan than other times, as for me it was very hard to understand why I didn’t graduate college in 4 years like all my other high school friends did. I can tell you it was worth the wait, and trusting his plan for me!!! I am graduating from the Universtiy of Houston with my Bachelors of Science in Education. I am graduating Magna Cum Laude, have been on the dean’s list for 2 & 1/2 years and ended my very last semester of college with all A’s & a 4.0! I am not telling you all this to brag, but I am sharing this with you to tell you how GOOD GOD IS!

Yes, It might have taken me 5 & 1/2 years to finish college but I accomplished a lot while still going to college.

  • I followed my dreams and became a professional cheerleader/dancer
  • I was a manager at an after-school program
  • I worked as a PreK teacher
  • I became a Zumba instructor
  • I got engaged
  • I planned a wedding/ still planning
  • I student taught for a year.

It wasn’t easy if anything it was the hardest thing I have ever done, but my lord got me through it and I am officially ready for the real world and to become a teacher.

Before I get all emotional, haha I want to say a quick prayer with you guys.

May the Lord give you strength and guidance through it all. I pray that you trust his plan for you and his timing.  I pray for patience, peace, and trust in the lord.

Whatever you are going through remind yourself daily, HIS PLAN IS GREATER THAN MY OWN!! “Commit your actions to the Lord, and your plans will succeed.” Proverbs 16:3

Sharing some of my graduation pictures with you guys, GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME!

Thank you for reading, May God bless you all ❤

Negativity is a liar…

Before I start talking about this subject, I want to dearly thank you all for reading my blogs. I want to let you know, that you’re not alone. The reason I write these blogs is because I’m NOT perfect, each blog I’ve written is something I struggle with as a Christian. Living as a Christian doesn’t mean life will be perfect but it DOES MEAN GOD’S GOT YOU IN THE PALM OF HIS HANDS, AT ALL TIMES.

Negative– (of a person, attitude, or situation) not desirable or optimistic.

Negative thoughts come to everyone. Just because they come doesn’t mean they have to stay in your mind. The main battle is in the mind. Don’t let the enemy be in your mind. Satin = Lies = Power of suggestion. Learn to answer every thought. God will supply all your riches according to his needs. Gods peace = Positivity = Knowing you’re in God’s hands = Faith.

Negativity is a liar because as soon as we think negative we are losing faith in our GOD. Examples:

  1. You’re waiting for results and you start expecting the worst. WHY? If God is for you who can be against you? He can and will do the impossible for you.
  2. You’re getting sick and you start to google your symptoms, you become stressed because you’re already busy and have to make time to go to the doctor. God’s got you, this is sometimes the way God is telling us we need a break, some rest, and some alone time with him.
  3. Random expenses come your way, and when something goes wrong everything goes wrong. DONT THINK THAT WAY! If you think it that will happen, but let God’s will be done. Trust him through it all.

There are many examples of how we think negative on a daily basis. As humans, we magnify the negative, but the devil does NOT know your future. “For I know the plans I have for you.” Declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11 The enemy is looking at your words more than your behavior. SO start speaking and creating because God can do wonders with your words. Fill the silence with worship not worry, not fear, not anxiety.

  1. Think strong, be strong
  2. Think smart, be smart
  3. Think positive, be positive
  4. Think big, expect big

If you don’t think you can, you’re already defeated.

If you think you can, you will with GODS HELP.

Negative words will cancel your harvest, as soon as you start to think negative… quickly remind yourself you are a child of the highest God. “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” Proverbs 3:5-6

Thank you for reading, “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” Romans 15:13 May Gods peace be with you at all times, may he be your guide to everything. I pray and declare negative thoughts to not cross your mind. Replace them with a prayer, worship, and faith!

As for my personal life, I am ready for my very last semester of college, and student teaching. Glory to God I passed one of my teacher certification state exams before graduating college. I have another state exam coming up, it is 5 subjects, 267 questions, and an expensive test. I have a quick prayer request for you all. I’m doing my part, and know God will do his by helping me pass this exam the very first time, all 5 subjects!

May God continue to bless you all.

Consistency in your FAITH

Consistency: noun Acting or done in the same way over time, especially so as to be fair or accurate.

Faith: noun Complete trust or confidence in Jesus Christ our savior.

Do you pray only when you need Jesus? Do you thank & praise him only when he’s done something great? What about all the other blessings you receive daily like being able to open your eyes. This is a topic not everyone wants to talk about, but God doesn’t work during your worry, he works in your worship. “Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again- Rejoice!” Philippians 4:4 The Scripture tells us to ALWAYS be full of joy in the Lord. Is it hard? Yes, but possible. During your financial troubles, your stress, your health problems, you must THANK HIM and stay consistent in your faith. Just like when everything is going well in life like you got a new job, a promotion, a new opportunity. Your Praise, worship, and prayers must be the same and stay Consistent.

Jesus will allow you to struggle until you mature in faith and give it (the problem) to Jesus. God will sometimes do the impossible to receive the praise. SO….

  • for that bad grade
  • for the doctor’s report
  • financial troubles
  • stress
  • for patience
  • for those daily blessings, we oversee sometimes
  • for being healthy
  • your parents
  • for the GOOD AND THE BAD.

That is what having faith is all about! Keep being consistent in praying, thanking him, speaking about him, going to church, worshiping and everything in between. Thanking God for everything will help you get through anything. “That’s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. FOR WHEN I AM WEAK THEN I AM STRONG.” 2 Corinthians 12:10

Praying for everyone reading this, may God continue to guide you closer to him, and through everything may you have Gods peace, faith, and strength.

XOXO Wendy H.

Getting a “No” From God…

If you’ve ever gotten a “no” from God, trust me I understand how you feel and so do a lot of other Christians. Why wouldn’t God answer your prayer, that you prayed for every night, at church, and even with friends?

Getting a no from God has a lot of different meanings like…

  • “Not right now.”
  • “I have something better for you.”
  • “Trust me.”
  • “Grow deeper in your faith.”
  • “I know how much you want this, but this isn’t something for a child of the highest god.”
  • “Wait and I will give you the best.”

“Some of Gods greatest gifts are his unanswered prayers.” God sometimes doesn’t give us want we want just because, but he wants to be in control, he wants you to lean on him and grow in your faith. Just because he doesn’t answer your prayer the first time doesn’t mean he isn’t listening. Trust him & keep growing in faith.

“And even when you ask, you don’t get it because your motives are all wrong-you want only what will give you pleasure.” James 4:3

“You can pray for anything, and if you have faith you will receive it.” Mathew 21:22

“And we are confident that he hears us whenever we ask for ANYTHING that pleases him. And since we know he hears us wen we make our request, we also know that he will give us what we ask for.” 1 John 5:14&15

“But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind.” James 1:6

What is the key word here? HAVE FAITH, SPEAK IT INTO EXISTENCE, BELIEVE IT AND PREACH IT. When he gives you that yes, PRAISE HIS NAME!

Happy New year to everyone reading this!

I pray that 2017 is a faith-filled, amazing year. The year to accomplish your goals and dreams. A little trick I have started doing is speaking my dream into existence! This is the year I will graduate, and make my dreams come true all with God’s help.

Keep faith and if there is anything I can pray for, click the link at the top right corner.

Bible verses to help with stress and anxiety.

STRESS:  noun A state of mental or emotional strain or tension resulting from adverse or very demanding circumstances.

synonyms: worry, concern, apprehension, apprehensiveness, uneasiness, unease, fearfulness, fear, disquiet, disquietude, inquietude, perturbation, agitation, angst, misgiving, nervousness, nerves, tension, tenseness

Did you know stress comes from earthly things and NOT God? It is very hard not to get stressed in a busy world of chaos. It happens to everyone including myself. The following bible verses are some of my favorites from how to deal with stress and anxiety with God on your side. Highlight them on your bible and remember… fullsizerender-2

  1. “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand..” Philippians 4:6-7
  2. “I am leaving you with a gift- peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.” John 14:27
  3. “In my distress I prayed to the Lord, and the Lord answered me and set me free. The Lord is for me, so i will have no fear. Yes, the Lord is for me; he will help me.” Psalms 118:5-7
  4. “When doubts filled my mind, your comfort gave me renewed hope and cheer.” Psalms 94:19
  5. “Commit everything you do to the Lord. Trust him, and he will help you.” Psalms 37″5
  6. “As pressure and stress bear down on me, i find joy in your commands.” Psalms 119:143
  7. “Give your burdens to the Lord, and he will take care of you. He will not permit the godly to slip and fall.” Psalms 55:22
  8. “But when I am afraid, I will put my trust in you. I praise God for what he has promised. I trust in God, so why should I be afraid?” Psalms 56:3-4
  9. “But in my distress I cried out to the Lord; yes, I prayed to my God for help. he heard me from his sanctuary; my cry to him reached his ears.” Psalms 18:6
  10. “Dear friends, don’t be surprised at the fiery trials you are going through, as if something strange were happening to you. Instead, be very glad- for these trials make you partners with Christ in his suffering, so that you will have the wonderful joy of seeing his glory..” 1 Peter:4:12
  11. “Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy, For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow.” James 1:2-3
  12. “For no one can lay any foundation other than the one we already have- Jesus Christ.” 1 Corinthians 3:11
  13. “But those who trust in the Lord will find new strengh. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31
  14. “Anxiety weighs down the heart, but a kind word cheers it up.” Proverbs 12:25
  15. “Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.” 1 Peter 5:7

When feeling stressed or worried remember,  “Stand firm against him, and be strong in your faith. Remember that your family of believers all over the world is going through the same kind of suffering you are.” 1 Peter 5:9 You can do ALL things with christ on your side!

Keep counting your blessings because as a Christian you are too blessed to be stressed!

May God bless everyone who is reading this. Keep pushing, don’t give up, God is always on your side. Keep faith.

Growing In Faith

As Christians we must continue to grow in our faith, and make our relationship with Jesus stronger everyday.

We must not stay content with our relationship with Jesus. As Christians we must continue growing and learning more about his wonders, his miracles, his peace, his glory, and his beautiful presence. Share the good news with others! How may we do this you may be wondering? We each have our talents and our ways of spreading his word. —->The MAIN KEY to being Christian is teaching the word to those who don’t know it! “Declare His glory among the nations, His wonders among all peoples.” Psalms 96:3

Ways to spread his word…

  1. Invite a friend/coworker/family member to church ( Pick them up if possible too, makes their first time at church easier)
  2. Retweeting/ posting a positive Godly post to encourage others on social media. (trust me, God aligns the people who need to be reading that post at the correct timing)
  3. Tell a friend/coworker/family member about KSBJ and the amazing christian music that plays.
  4. Share a prayer, or bible verse.
  5. Music/ I share christian music in my Zumba classes and stretch songs at the beginning and end!
  6. Email your coworkers wishing them a happy Monday following a bible verse.
  7. Tag a friend on social media when a bible verse/ Godly/ encouraging post comes up
  8. Share your miracles, blessings and amazing wonders, the Lord has done for you.
  9. ETC…

There are so many different ways to spread his word, If you are reading this right now I challenge you to try one of the following or get creative and spread his word! “And he said to them, ‘Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.'”Mark 16:15

A relationship with Jesus is not about receiving its about becoming. What I mean by this, is just as any other relationship with a loved one, friends, family… needs communication. A strong relationship takes time, and you must continuously engage and spend time together. Not just on Sundays, make the effort to spend time with him in the mornings at nights, in the car, he is always willing to listen! When you get into a relationship with someone you want to know more, and spend more, and more time together. “Jesus doesn’t want to be a part of your life, he wants to be your life” -John Gray “And when Christ, who is your life, is revealed to the whole world, you will share in all his glory.” Colossians 3:4

Spread his word, and continue to grow in faith. Faith too strong that you confuse the enemy!!! My prayer for you tonight is “May God give you more and more grace and peace as you grow in your knowledge of God and Jesus our Lord.” 2 Peter 1:2

Keep Calm, God is in Control

Do you often think about your future? Where are you going to be in 5 years? What are you going to be doing in 10 years? Do you have your life planned? As a christian we should lean and trust Gods plans not our own.image

I am a big planner and have always been with my tight school schedule and work schedule. I used to think about my future a little too much. I had the age set, when I wanted to be out of school (23), when I wanted to be engaged(23), married and even start a family(25). Did my “plans” go as planned? Definitely not because I will graduate at 24. I had my whole life planned out. Im such a planner, that it drives me nuts when something doesn’t go as planned. I have a planner and carry it with me everywhere. I write my daily to do list, and have my weekends planned out in advance. As my relationship with God continues to grow daily I learned to Keep Calm, God is in control. His timing and plans are wayyyyyyy better than our own. “The Lord will work out his plans for my life- for your faithful love, O Lord, endures forever.” Psalms 138:8 “So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.” Mathew 6:34

God wants us to trust him, he knows what he is doing at all times. So when something doesn’t go as you had planned, or as you wanted, or even as you prayed. Don’t worry; it never helps anything.

  1. Pray
  2. Trust God
  3. Let it Go

It is very hard to understand why something you have been praying so hard or so long so didn’t come to pass. Hold your head up high and know… God is in control, he has a perfect plan for your life. That is what FAITH is all about. When you have doubts and questions, choose to say “Lord, I believe. I may not always understand, but I trust you.”His plans, goals, dreams are much better than our own and his timing is never too late, it is always perfect! Thats what being a christian is all about. Trusting him through it all, and keeping calm. “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11

Always remember “You can make many plans, but the Lord’s purpose will prevail.” Proverbs 19:21

My prayer for everyone reading this is to keep Gods peace no matter what! Keep faith, and trust him. Jesus loves you very much, and his plans for your life are going to be amazing. I believe and declare it!

THANK YOU for continuing to read my blog. May God bless you all ❤ Wendy Hernandezimage

Obeying God = Doors will Open

Obeying God, is a hard task to do at times. You know that little voice in your head who tells you to do the uncomfortable things at times? Yup that’s God. He wants to get you out of your comfort zone to TRUST HIM at all times.

So why should you obey God? First of all it is the correct thing to do as a Christian, secondly God will open doors for you! God rewards obedience not good intentions. Is it easy to do? Not all the times. Its easier said than done, I totally understand. I want to share a Personal testimony of how God opened doors for me!!!

*As I explained in my last blog, I was afraid to start blogging. God wanted me to continue to reach out and teach people about how great he is! How much he loves you! How he has you in the palm of his hand! I obeyed afraid but, as always trusting him. As most of you know I am a full time student and I will be graduating in 2017. This school year will require me to take 5 classes and two days of observation hours, which leaves no time to work. I have always worked, and I just couldn’t imagine not working. It wasn’t an option for me but, my upcoming school schedule doesn’t allow me to work. (My hours are crazy weird) As I continue my journey in reading the word, and building my relationship with God, right before I knew it he had opened a door for me. I will be working with an amazing christian family, and I will be babysitting/nanny when I am not in school. Without me even looking for a new job, God blessed me with a new opportunity! Isn’t that amazing? I didn’t stress about it, I didn’t worry about not having a job this upcoming year, why? Because I KNOW GOD IS ALWAYS IN CONTROL.

*Second testimony, I am currently taking a summer school course and will take another one in July. I have a lot of free time or more free time than I’m used to. As always I love to keep my self busy and active. I have been attending Zumba Fitness classes for over a year. As most of you already know I LOVE TO DANCE. When I first attended a Zumba class I instantly fell in love with Zumba. I had a crazy, uncomfortable voice tell me to become a Zumba instructor. (God) I thought no way could I do that. As days passed I finally decided to sign up for a certification class to become a Zumba instructor. In my head I thought I could apply at local gyms or just have the certification on my resume. I wasn’t thinking much of it. I told my co worker I was going to get certified in Zumba this summer. She then told my boss, and my boss arranged a meeting for me and her to meet up and chat about me teaching at Foundry. (Preschool/ Church I used to work at) She then told me bad news, as there was already a Zumba class at that location…IMG_1595

I DIDNT LOOSE MY FAITH. I was absolutely calm about it not working out. Shortly after I get an email saying… I will start teaching Zumba @ Foundry!!!!!!

I am beyond excited to share this information with you! I am officially Zumba certified and a Zumba instructor all thanks to God! I will be teaching Tuesdays and Thursdays starting July 12th 6:30-7:30 @ Foundry United Methodist Church/Preschool 8350 Jones Rd. Houston, Tx 77065

It will be $5.00 Donation OR $30.00 punch card for 7 classes ( you get one FREE class)

Visit my FB page for more information! Zumba with Wendy

(Don’t forget to give it a like please & thank you) Now I need your support and help in spreading the word about my Zumba class. Wendy’s Zumba class is a variety of music! We start off with a current fun song/s as warm up and stretch. We then add the Latin spice and have a variety of merengue, salsa, cumbia & reggeton. We end the class with a cool down song and probably my favorite a christian modern song!

Take a look at my official certificate!! GOD IS TOO GOOD!

I am speechless of how God opened two doors and opportunities for me. He CAN do the same with you! Keep faith, obey him and most of all live for him! When God is on your side who can dare to be against you?

Jesus Died for you publicly, so don’t live for him privately.

“For Whoever finds me finds life and receives favor from the LORD” Proverbs 8:35

“I tell you the truth, those who listen to my message and believe in God who sent me have eternal life. They will never be condemned for their sins, bur they have already passed from death into life.” John 5:24

Thanks for reading, have a blessed Weekend.

Godfidence and Positivity

One of the key components of our faith is confessing positivity with our mouth. Even though it hasn’t showed up yet, you’re going to praise it. Someday will turn into TODAY. Positivity, is a daily mental decision you must make when waking up. Is it easy? NO, its extremely hard but, possible with God on your side. You must look at the positives in life at all times. When you serve God it is not a free pass through life, you will face problems, oppositions, negativity, sickness, and the list goes on but, when God is with you who can be against you? Positivity ties into with Faith. Faith is believing and trusting god, believing it before you see it. “A beautiful day begins with a beautiful mindset. When you wake up, take a second to think about what a privilege it is to simply be alive and healthy. The moment you start acting like life is a blessing, I assure you it will start to feel like one.”

There is ALWAYS something positive going on in your life. Something you are thankful for. You must not forget those things when something negative comes up. God speaks louder than silence. Some daily things to be thankful for…IMG_1369

  1. Another beautiful day of living in this world
  2. Being Loved by the King
  3. Being Healthy
  4. Having a roof over your head
  5. Being able to eat daily
  6. Having a job
  7. Having a family and loved ones
  8. Living in a safe beautiful country
  9. Having God on your side 24/7
  10. Being able to go to school
  11. & the list goes on. I could really list over a million things I am thankful for.

Now the tricky and hard part is remembering these positive things you are thankful for…during the difficult times. There is no need to worry. We are humans and we do worry, and stress about the silliest things at times but, we must KEEP CALM GOD IS ALWAYS IN CONTROL! Through negative and positive situations you must praise God, the exact same way. If you don’t thank God for your negative situations your maturity with God needs to grow a little bit more. Once you praise your negative situations the same as the positive ones you will confuse the enemy with your strong faith and confidence in God. ( Godfidence) Once you learn to have faith at all times (even during sickness, struggles, stress, etc..) opportunities will come knocking at your door! 2013103914mustard_seed_300“The Lord answered, “If you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mulberry tree, ‘May you be uprooted and thrown into the sea,’ and it would obey you!” Luke 17:6

<—- That is how small a mustard seed is! Isn’t that amazing?

Godfidence is having confidence in God at all times. When sickness comes your way Thank God for giving you doctors and medication, and Gods help to cure it. When you fail a class thank God for giving you another opportunity to take it again. When someone breaks up with you or a friend leaves your life thank God for getting you closer to the correct people you are meant to be around. When you loose your job, thank God for closing one door but opening another door soon. When anything negative comes up, thank God for making you stronger. After all that is what he is doing! He is making you strong in your FAITH to overcome any negative situation with HIS help! “Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me.” 2 Corinthians 12:9        God hears your prayers. He is already working it out. Stay strong in your faith! “The LORD himself will fight for you. Just stay calm.” Exodus 14:14

God spoke to me, to start a blog and spread his word to more people. I was scared to obey and immediately thought I can’t do that… but obeyed and I am beyond happy I did. I will share (annonymously) what some friends have said about my blog this far.

  • “Loved your blog, it is refreshing to hear such a positive message from someone your age! No winning or complaints, just trusting in God with lots of hard work!”
  • “I just read your blog…It motivates me to build my relationship with God”
  • “I just read your blog and oh man Wendy. I literally teared up reading it because i feel so distant from God. The light that shines through you, I want that too. Thank you for writing such encouraging words”
  • “Wow Wendy this is great! I love it! Look at you! You’re a pretty good little writer!”
  • “I love it! Im so proud of you boo! So glad to see my friends doing such positive things in this world!”

After all that being said. I want to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for reading my blogs and supporting me! THANK YOU SO MUCH ! I want to continue to write and inspire others to believe in God. God is beyond AMAZING & I want to share all he can do if you just believe!!

STAY TUNED: I have some exciting news to share In the next blog! For now it is VACATION TIME with my second family! ( My boyfriends family) I will be away for a week, can’t wait for fun times, memories and laughter !

God Bless

Distance gives us a reason to love harder

For those of you who don’t know, I am currently in a relationship with my amazing boyfriend named John. We have been together for almost two years now! (Our anniversary is July 5th) He is the silliest, most loving, caring person ever, and I am so blessed to have him in my life! img_0044

Unfortunately we live an hour and a half away from each other but, distance means so little when someone means so much. We both are so busy & far from each other on weekdays that we only see each other on the weekends. Sometimes we don’t see each other for weeks and thats when it gets hard. When ever I finally do see him after two weeks, or more of not seeing him… its like falling in love again! I look forward to seeing him. I look forward to spending time with him even if that means sitting through a softball tournament all day. ( Which I’ve grown to actually like watching baseball & softball now thanks to him)

Funny story: We met through my teammate at the time Taylor.(Not sure if I have thanked you & Pico yet, but thanks so much for introducing us!) It was her birthday and we were celebrating it by dancing the night away. After a fun night of technically meeting my boyfriend at the club we began dating shortly after that. hahahahaha who would of thought? You really meet amazing people when you least expect it. Our first date was at top golf, and I remember it like it was yesterday. I was trying to be cute in wedges and a maxi skirt (not knowing we were gonna go play golf) it was a night of non stop laughter and fun.

One of our first pictures together in 2014.

Being in a long distance relationship is hard, but you have to remember you obviously don’t see each other all the time. So…

  1. Compliment each other often.
  2. Facetime, snapchat or talk on the phone.
  3. Remind your boyfriend/girlfriend how much you love them.
  4. Keep God first.
  5. Have date nights often (just you & him/her)

Our relationship keeps growing as we keep putting God first. Its not easy being in a long distance relationship but it sure is worth it!

To John: Thank you for ALWAYS putting yourself last, always making me laugh,  and loving me. You’re my best friend, #1 fan in all I do, supporter, trainer & my love. I don’t know how you manage to keep me so happy, spoiled & so in love. Thank you for these amazing two years, and may God continue to bless us. “Let us continue to love one another, for love comes from God. Anyone who loves is a child of God & knows God.” 1 John 4:7 What a coincidence that this scripture came from the chapter John. I am beyond thankful for you, HAPPY EARLY ANNIVERSARY MY LOVE!

To the other long distance couples: Keep putting God first, and all will follow. Love is not a smooth ride there are hard times but you can overcome anything together & with God. After all distance gives you a reason to love harder! Long distance is temporary, don’t forget.

To my single ladies reading this: I know how it feels to look around and everyone is “booed up” or “coupled up.” I was there and understand how frustrating it is. Love comes when you least expect it. Do not look for love, instead focus on the one who loved you first, Jesus. “We love each other because he loved us first” 1 John 4:19 If you have prayed about it then theres no need to worry about it. God has a special some one saved for you, not in your timing but his timing. His timing is never too late, it is perfect!

With that being said it is finally SUMMER TIME for me!! I am officially off work (all though I do have summer school ) I am looking forward to our annual vacation, pool time, the sun, and laying out on the beach!
